Craig Smith - Alhambra Managing Partner
Craig Smith is a lifelong North Florida resident calling Jacksonville and Callahan home. He credits his small town roots during his teenage years as an important part of his current and past success. His first real job after and while being a lifeguard, was with the Jacksonville Suns, then an affiliate of the Montreal Expos. Craig did everything from ticket sales, corporate promotions and even took a turn as the clubhouse manager. With Peter Bragan as his mentor, Craig took what he learned at Wolfson Park and set off on a path that would see him as the owner of a paging company, weight loss company, limousine service and involved in numerous companies as a business development consultant.
In 2009, he found himself quite by accident as the owner of the Alhambra Theatre & Dining venue. Craig says it has been the best 5 years of his life. It was through this "show" business that he really got to "shake things up." In 2011, he was asked to participate in DWTS Jacksonville-style; if you could have seen him you would understand "shaking it up." Craig made Biggie Smalls proud. In 2013, he was lucky enough to be a judge of this great event. Craig is so excited to be a part of this event as emcee, stating that, "It looks like I made it around all the bases. I love the mission and work of the Jacksonville Children's Chorus as well as supporting Darren and the kids in all their efforts."
