Meet Ben Goldsmith
City Director for Here's Life Inner City Jacksonville

Ben Goldsmith is a native of Liberty, South Carolina.

He received a Bachelor of Arts from Davidson College and a Master of Science in Urban Life from Georgia State University.

After working for several years in banking and hospital administration, Ben joined the staff of Campus Crusade for Christ (now called Cru) in 1976.

Ben and his wife, Diane, have been married 35 years and are the parents of four grown children and three grandchildren. The Goldsmiths have lived in Jacksonville since 1981. Their daughters, Mary and Christine, both are Rotary members.  

Currently, Ben is the City Director for Here’s Life Inner City Jacksonville, which has as its mission to serve and mobilize the church to live out God’s heart for the poor. He also serves as the Chair of Transform Jacksonville and Northeast Florida.

Our club was awarded the elite “Platinum Premier Club” status at the recent Rotary District 6970 conference.  You are a member of one of 6 clubs out of a possible 59 in the district to gain this honor.  Only two other large clubs were able to earn the title.  (We are considered a ‘large’ club because our membership exceeds 50.)

 Rod Hindman and PP Vicki-Lynne Gloger welcome their sixth grandchild, Mila Fretz.  She was born May 28th at Baptist South weighing 9.3 pounds!
