All About Families!

Jack Fore Dulaney
He is the first grandson for Peter and Bea Fore.  At a healthy 8 pounds 3 ounces he was born on May 4th.   Jack is Peter and Bea's third grandchild.  They also have 2 granddaughters, Olivia Whitmer (8 yrs. old) and Elle Dulaney (4 yrs. old).

Larry and Rose Cavallaro attended the graduation ceremonies for the class of 2013 at The Citadel recently.

Their grandson, USMC 2nd LT, Scott Holmes received his first salute from his proud grandfather, Larry.  Larry is pictured in his Army dress uniform that was standard more than 60 years ago. Scott's parents Gary and Caroline Holmes are pictured below.

The sword pictured is a Marine Corps Officer's Mameluke Sword and Larry is proud to have presented it to his grandson. The distinctive sword traditionally awarded to officers of the U.S. Marine Corps represents one of the most historic events in the early history of this distinguished branch of our Armed Forces and is based on a form of Turkish saber associated with that event. The Marine sword has become known as a Mameluke sword. The name refers primarily to the shape of the hilt that is a form that originated in the Ottoman Empire in about the 17th century.  Scott is off to Flight School next!
