Meet Erik Dellenback
President/Executive Director, Tim Tebow Foundation

Erik Dellenback is currently serving in his second year as the President / Executive Director of the Tim Tebow Foundation where he oversees all areas of the foundation including fundraising, selection and fulfillment of outreach initiatives, and operations and brand management.

Prior to this role, Erik served for over 11 years at the Gator Bowl Association, most recently as Vice-President/CMO. Erik also served the Gator Bowl as Director of Marketing, Director of the ACC Football Championship, Director of Promotions and Ticket Manager.

Erik served for 3 years as an adjunct professor in Flagler College’s nationally accredited Sport Management program. Prior to joining the Gator Bowl Association, Erik worked for the University of Florida Athletic Department in Marketing and Promotions.

He is active in the Gator Bowl Association Committee and Christ’s Church.

A Florida native, Erik graduated from the University of Florida with a degree in Sports Management. Erik and his wife Elizabeth have three children: Blake, Tyler and Emma.

Would you like to spend an hour a week making a powerful impact on a child’s life?  Rotary Literacy Partners know that reading skills impact all other learning, and help with those skills early on is key to academic success.  As you consider volunteering, please look over this year’s program features:
  • Training onsite (weekday)    
  • School District approval required (includes background check and found online at www.duvalschools.org under Community/Volunteers)  
  • Serve as a mentor of your student for the length of the school year 
  • Commit to consistency with student (meet each week or minimum of 2 times per month)   
  • Mentor at Kindergarten level at San Jose, during class time   
  • Cultivate a mentoring relationship with a young reader.

Anna Zimmermann
Arrival of Rotary Youth Exchange Student - August 11th:  Please come out and welcome Anna Zimmermann to the U.S.A.  Anna is South Jacksonville Rotary's inbound exchange student from Switzerland.  She arrives on Saturday, August 11th, 6:55 pm at the Jacksonville International Airport.
Rotary Foundation Seminar - August 18th Rotary Foundation Seminar at the Thrasher Horne Center in Orange Park on College Drive.  Breakfast and lunch are provided and the club pays for anyone who would like to attend.

RLI

President Jim Lanahan began the year by sharing his vision and goals for the South Jacksonville Rotary Club.  The goals included leadership development with a goal of 3 members to attend the Rotary Leadership Institute (RLI).   Four members attended RLI on August 4th.  Dinkins Grange and PE Harlan Bost completed Part I.  PP Barry Covington completed Part II.  President Jim Lanahan and Bea Fore graduated with the completion of Part III.

Donovin Darius visited the South Jacksonville Rotary Club .  He spoke about events from his NFL draft experience, career and the Donovin Darius Foundation.
