Rotaract Mentoring Program
PP Hobart Joost and PP Jay Plotkin along with Will Torres have begun a program that will partner our members with a Rotaractor in the same profession.  These young professionals are the future of our city and our businesses.   This program offers the opportunity to meet with them once a month perhaps at lunch or after work (or a time that is mutually agreed upon) to discuss the issues they are facing as they work their way through today's corporate environment.  If you are interested in participating in this program, sign up at the next meeting.

Minutarian Minute Week 22

December is Family month – a time to celebrate and appreciate family in its many connotations. Of course we all think about our children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren and extended family as the holiday season approaches each year. Here’s a thought: Take it a step further to expand our celebration and appreciation of family to include the Family of Rotary – those we serve, as well as those who help us serve. In doing so, we’ll help strengthen the family of Rotary, which in turn enables us to do more good in the world. And when we do more good in the world we create a better place for our own families. So it all comes around full circle. As we are fond of saying, one profits most who serves best!

And here’s another thought: For those clubs hosting special holiday meetings or events, if appropriate consider inviting Interact and Rotaract members to attend. Not only will you be extending a warm Rotary welcome to increasingly vital members of the Family of Rotary, but you’ll also be spicing up your meeting or event for all concerned.

Good thoughts to keep in mind this month as we think about what family means to us personally, to our clubs and to Rotary.

Event Reminders:
May 8-10: Save the dates as we combine our annual District Conference and District Assembly into one big event. We’ll sail into the Flagler College campus in St. Augustine to Light Up the family of Rotary. Look for an agenda and more details soon.

Yours in service to Rotary,
