Rotary International has now collectively contributed $600 million towards polio eradication!
When Rotary International began working towards the eradication of Polio, there were 1,000 new cases of polio a day. In the mid 1990's, India had over 50,00 new cases per year. In 2011, there were less than 2 new cases per day. There were only 611 cases in all for 2011.
